How do you play Farmersgolf? A Farmersgolf™ course has ten holes with an average length of more than 200 metres (approx. 220 yards) per hole. Each hole has a begin and end point. The end point is at 'the pin', a bucket dug into the ground with a numbered flag. The pin is also the start point for the following hole. Farm golf courses, in general, consist of an area of at least eight hectares. The game is played between two groups with a maximum of five players per group. Group 1 starts by hitting their ball from the start area of the first hole followed by group 2. The group whose ball is farthest from the pin has the next turn. The ball can always be moved a club length from where it lies as long as it is not moved closer to the pin. In this fashion the two groups continue to play each hole together. Within each group the players take turns hitting the ball. A hole is finished when the ball is hit into the bucket at the pin. The ball is then removed from the bucket and placed 4 metres away in the direction of the pin for the next hole. This is continued until all ten holes of the course have been played. The names of the group members are filled in on the left-hand side of the scorecard. A tally is made of the number of strokes required to finish each hole alongside the numers 1 to 10. The group with the smallest number of strokes required to finish all the holes is winner.
